  The picture is estimated to have been taken around the time of the First World War The picture is of the Fozzard's (Landlord's) playing the game of Knurr and Spell The picture shows the demolition of the building C1960's The above pictures are from the David Atkinson Archive Name White Horse Hotel/Inn Address Junction of Fall Lane and Cave Lane, East Ardsley Built ? Closed Yes Demolished Yes Notes Robinson 1905 listed as a beerhouse. Licensee 1905 – John Bedford. The building was bought by Tom Gomersall who demolished the pub and built a house on the site called “White Horse” (David Atkinson Archive). Comment on 7 June 2026 from Mike Lee; "My parents kept the White Horse in East Ardsley in the 1950's.  It was located at the junction of Fall Lane and Cave Lane.  It was a solidly built building with stables, bowling green and a football pitch.  It had been on the site of an earlier pub, the Pegasus, and was still locally known as the "Peg".  It has since ...
